Viktar Martsinovich

Prose writer, university teacher and journalist. (1)
In 2009, his anti-utopian novel "Paranoia" (Паранойя) written in Russian was released, drawing a great deal of the media attention as its sale was prohibited and it was withdrawn from the bookshops. The plot of the story develops at the background of Minsk – monitored by the omnipotent Ministry for State Security. The main character is a writer – Anatoliy who undergoes a personal crisis and publishes his works in "tamizdat".
Nowadays, Martsinovich is one of the "stars" of the internet literary and journalistic community. In 2011 – 2013, he published two other novels: "Cold South" (Сцюдзёны вырай) and Sphagnum (Сфагнум). In his novels, he actively uses elements of mass literature, considered by critics a post-modernist "game with a popular context".

vyjadrenie citatelov (2) na knihu na stranke www.goodreads.com

-A paranoid love triangle in a country somewhat similar to Belarus. Interesting, with the different approaches the book takes, but also somewhat long-winding. It was a bit of a struggle to read.

-I came across this book while digging through a clearance rack at a local Barnes&Noble. It was for sale at an AMAZING price, and had three of my favorite things: 1) It was banned. 2) It was Eastern European, and influenced by Russia. 3) It's called Paranoia (which was an immediate selling point for me).
It took me a couple days to get through. The first quarter or so seemed very good at first, but I was completely disappointed from there on out. It was a book that was definitely a chore to get through, and I ended up only finishing it just so I could say I finished it.
After that first quarter, the pacing got bizarrely slow, and I got increasingly bored with it. The characters, though cute in their own respects, became a bit shallow, and I found it hard to really feel anything for them.
And I GREATLY hated the ending, feeling like I had definitely seen it in Dostoevsky's work.
All in all, I found it boring, slow-paced, generic, and blase.

Famous Belarusian writer, journalist, art critic Viktor Martinovich present his new novel, "Mova 墨瓦" at the Frankfurt Book Fair. About this author, which is called "militant" of the Belarusian language, informed fans of his work at a meeting in Vitebsk. It took place on September 23 in The Beatles club "Cherdachok".

Mova 墨瓦" originally published in Belarusian. But there is the Russian version.
Writer intrigued by those who have not read the novel:

- This work is very controversial, a little scandalous. Despite the fact that it has a strong plot, it does not plot the literature. Hiding under the guise of language "militants", the text tries to answer the vexed questions that have matured in our society. The main of them - language. I tried to make sense of this problem in terms of science fiction.

"If a ban is a sign of recognition in an authoritarian regime, then Victor Martinovich, a young Belarussian writer, is a winner."
-"he novel itself, after all, dispenses with the boundary between literature and reality."

The novel, heavy on local dialect and foul language, introduces us to the exotic setting of Belarusian rural life and presents the reader with a vast gallery of vivid characters. This fast-paced, laugh-out-loud gangster comedy is a perfect blend of humour, intelligence, and suspense from the young Belarusian writer who has already spoken out with a dark political satire on the regime in Paranoia, published in the States by Northwestern University Press in March 2013.

Vyjadrenie autora k ilustráciám v knihe MOVA-
